REscue & Emergency Medical Pros a must during major outages

REMS in 2009 assisted Intergen on their B2 upgrade. This was a particular interesting task for all concerned as it took the services we offer to the next level. REMS dealt with a significant number of patients over the outage and I have to say, these incidents would have traditionally gone unnoticed as they would have previously been dealt with by contractors themselves. Intergen & REMS developed a policy of a NO BLAME CULTURE whereby workers were encouraged to bring any incident or illness to the forefront. This enables them to receive high quality treatment and advice, but also enables the site to accurately gauge the real figure of incidents enabling them to put into place preventative measures before more serious incidents occurred. Intergen and REMS were confident that this policy had prevented several lost time incidents (LTIs) we have commonly found in similar scope or works within the UK. Due to the vast number of workers onsite REMS also had to deal with the possibility of a SWINE FLU outbreak thus bringing the works to a devastating standstill. REMS assisted by Intergen put a whole host procedures and preventative measures in place to limit the effects should it occurred. REMS also completed various training sessions and toolbox talks whilst onsite.
