In 2007 Dave & Dave were awarded the Ambulance Services Institutes award again. They were on their way to a nuclear installation they currently maintain on behalf of British Energy as part of the Nuclear Response Team. They came across a Road Traffic Collision between a private light vehicle and a Post Office Heavy Goods Vehicle. The Light vehicle came off worse and burst into flames. Dave Anderson quickly got the onboard extinguisher and began to fight the flames. Dave Seel got the
essential medical equipment needed to deal with what was obviously going to be a very traumatised patient. They dealt with the patients life threatening injuries and then began to immobilise the patient prior to the arrival of the emergency services. Again due to their extended training in medical rescue they were able to assist this very injured patient within a very narrow window of opportunity.
