Which rescue system

The scaffolders at our site work on some very high and frankly dodgy looking structures. We have asked them to give us rescue plans for the event that one of them falls off. They have told us that all their people are trained in the use of something called a 'Gotcher'. Is this a good bit of kit for them to use?
